The Big Bang – Information sheet
13.7 billion years ago, the universe was created by matter expanding at a rapid pace causing extremely high temperatures and density to form otherwise known as, the Big Bang. According to the theories of physics, if we were to look at the Universe one second after the Big Bang, all we would see is a 10-billion-degree sea of neutrons, protons, and electrons. As time went on, we would see the Universe cool, causing the neutrons to either decay into protons or electrons. As it continued to cool, the universe would eventually be formed. Due to nothing ever being formed before the Big Bang, nothing existed.
