The book of Genesis focuses on God’s creation, genealogy, rules and teachings. During, the most serious of events from the Creation, pre-mentioned of Jesus Christ, Noah and the Flood, and Abraham and his descendants. Despite, of our lives hurtles, he reminds us to have of faith and trust in him. If we prevail, we will receive grace.
God created the world in 6 days. Among everything, on the last day, he created man and a woman; Adam and Eve. God’s one rule of humanity was not to eat of the prohibited fruit. So, God told Adam that he could have every fruit except the fruit. However, the snake persuaded Eve to eat it and Eve gave it to Adam to eat it. As the time went by, God felt that humanity had became uncontrollably and there was too much evil in the world. Therefore, God decided to destroy the world and all humans. For the exception of Noah, his family and 2 animals of each kind. Being that “Noah was a righteous man blameless among the people of his time and he walked with God” [ Genesis 6:9]. God’s and Abraham’s relationship teaches us to have faith. Abraham was a very loyal servant, even though God tested his faith many times. His most challenging an act of faith was when God asked him to sacrifice his one and only son, Isaac. Even though Isaac was a result of God’s covenant to Abraham. Abraham and his wife Sarah were aged, but God as promised gave them a son. However, as an act of faith, God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son. On Genesis 22:2 God told Abraham, “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering” God seeing Abraham obedience, he sent his angels to stop Abraham from killing his own son. Even though, Abraham was one of the most loyal servant, God still put him through the test. Yet, Abraham proof to God that he believed in him blindly. Consequently, God blessed Abraham and made him and all his descendants the father of all nations. In Genesis 17:16, “I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations”
