This quote shows that Ilsa respects Liesel for her ways and wants to be friends. Ilsa goes out of her way to be kind because of how respectful and nice Liesel is to her. This quote shows that this is a healthy and happy relationship. This relationship between Ilsa and Liesel is forged through reading and words.
