The Learning of The Holocaust The book Night by, Wiesel represented the holocaust. The book was a great way of expressing facts but it was hard for me to really see it. I think that the movie, The Boy In The Striped Pajamas explained the holocaust much more efficiently, and had a better understanding of emotion and gave the watcher a better visual for better comprehension.
Night is a book that has a very strong theme that I believe strong hearted reads would really enjoy. Night describes the life of a young Jewish man Going through the hardships of the holocaust and every struggle that went along with such a hardship. The author Elie Wiesel describes how the struggles of the intense work camps, the low rations that they were given to eat and the continuous beatings that were force upon his people. I believe that this book is intended for a mature audience. It describes many graphic and gruesome scenes that a child should not b introduced to.
This book is very important because it teaches the reader things they didn’t know well or proves to them that they are wrong if they believed that the Holocaust was not harmful. No one had the right to treat these people in that way and no one has the right to ban this book because this will be censorship. Night also shows the truth about the Holocaust and teaches us that this period in history should be prevented from happening

The story of Night is about a boy named Elie that was forced to live in the ghetto with his family. It was all an edict from Hitler. For example, The Boy in Striped Pajamas describes loss and heartbreak very well, but it is fictional. It really only talks about the little boy’s life and that was lost in the end. Although it does include facts about the Holocaust, it is still heavily dramatized to leave a grievous effect on its audience. Night is a true biography of a boy's life in Auschwitz. In the book Night Elie Wiesel a 15 year old boy takes his readers through the life of a Holocaust survivor. When reading Night you feel what he feels what Elie feels. This truly inspirational book is a great read and helps you understand the gruesome, frightening, and suffering that was the Holocaust. No one should ever have to endure the suffering that he went through in order to survive this horrific event. One part of the book that I found particularly striking to me would have to be the death march.
