OK. That's it. I am officially DONE accepting jobs off the open job board. From now on, I'm sticking with only the Favorites board and my DAs, even if I'm desperate. It's just not worth it. Got another declined article today from a client I've never worked with before. That's two in one week. And, just so nobody thinks it's because I'm a horrible writer, these don't happen often. And, I have several clients who love my work. Anyway, this time I even sent a friendly little note once I submitted the article to let the client know that I hoped everything was to their liking and that I am always open to revisions. She actually wrote back and said that they were reviewing "everything" that had been submitted and would be sending for revisions later. And she checked the "overall writing style" box, which is bull because a few examples were given of the style they liked, and I followed them. They specifically took sections from different websites and basically said in the instructions to provide those sections with their info. So that's what I did. [Brick wall] I think from her response to my message (saying they were reviewing everything from everyone) that they were "trying out" writers. That's all fine and dandy, but I would have loved for that to have been in the directions. I tend to stay away from assignments where I know for a fact that more than one person is being "auditioned." I don't have time to take that chance.
