Last class, we discussed globalization, which is a term used to describe the union of different people, marketplaces, and cultures. Globalization can have both positive and negative impacts on society. Positive impacts of globalization include improvements in communication and advancements in technology. However, negative impacts include unfair wages and poor working conditions for workers. These unjust conditions come about as a direct result of large corporations taking advantage of cheap labor in developing countries and favoring profit over the well-being of others.
