TOPIC 5: CLIMATE CHANGE AND WEATHER
CONSEQUENCES OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON ENSO AND MJO
The consequences of climate change on weather elements of evaporation/ water vapour. Water vapour is also known as one type of major gas that contain in greenhouse gases. The existence of this gas can contribute to global warming. This water vapour absorb the long wave radiation which also known as sun radiation and radiates back to the atmosphere and causing global warming. The increasing of water vapour in the atmosphere leads to higher air temperature which then causes more water vapour to be absorbed into the air. Water vapour also contribute to the moisture of the air. In fact, the higher or warmer air temperature able to hold more moisture. Thus, when the climate getting warmer so it leads to increase in air temperature and …show more content…

This El Niño can be known when the surface temperature of eastern Pacific Ocean becomes high and the pressure at the atmosphere becomes low. The El Niño occurs every 3-5 years. ENSO can caused many effect towards the world. The most obvious impact are it can caused in increasing amount of precipitation in south America, flooding in some area, also can cause extreme drought which can lead to living’s death and reduction in annual monsoon in India.
The Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO) is known as oceanic atmospheric phenomena. It is usually happens 30-90 days every years. So, does MJO affect the global warming? The MJO can influence precipitation, surface temperature, cyclones and lightning. The MJO also affect the weather and climate phenomenon. The phase of MJO depends on the timing and location of its centre of maximum rainfall. Thus, the climate change will give impact towards MJO which would causes of damaging properties and cities. Besides, MJO also are linked to El Niño Southern Oscillation
