The Controversy Surrounding The Zodiac Killer

Unfortunately the Zodiac killer still remains unidentified to this day. No one knows who he is, where he is, or if he’s even still alive. Any kind of childhood or family life is unknown. One could conclude that the killer had a horrible childhood because of the monster he turned into. Another couple was attacked the same way on July 4, 1969 in Vallejo, California as well. On September 27, 1969 another couple was targeted near Lake Berryessa in Napa, California. The couple was tied up and stabbed to death. The final murder occurred on October 11, 1969 in San Francisco, California. A cab driver was shot in the head and left to die. The Zodiac killer initially targeted couples but he did not know any of his victims. They were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. After committing all of these awful crimes the zodiac killer was never caught or heard from again. On the night of the cab shooting however, the Zodiac did indeed talk to the police and led them astray. There was a racial mix up on the night of the shooting. Police thought they were looking for a black man matching the zodiacs description rather than a white man. It wasn’t until later that they realized he was the killer.
