The destruction of a country’s support Blair Bezzina Vietnam was a time of brutal war, new tactics and new weapons, so the media’s coverage on guerrilla warfare and the Viet Cong really shows how brutal this war was. During the Vietnam war, the media ran images and videos of the Guerrilla warfare tactic and by doing so removed popular support away from the Vietnam war. This destruction of support was due to the Search and destroy operations, the Guerrilla warfare tactic and how America saw it as unfair as well as the Viet Cong. Through these specific operations, how America considered the war and unfair fight and how the Viet Cong considered it to be unfair led to the media showing these images and the support to slowly decrease to the extent …show more content…

So by releasing images of Search and Destroy missions, the views of the American Army and the Views of the Viet Cong was the item that removed popular support from the war.
