To start, what is respect? Respect is a deep regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others. Respect is admiration and courtesy. Respect is shown by encouragement, congratulations, listening during a conversation, helpfulness, and even just politeness. Respectfulness sometimes expresses a person 's feelings or wishes. Respecting someone can also bond people together, as it is something that creates peace between two realms. Disrespect, on the other hand, is something that tears two (or more) realms apart. It means to show a lack of respect or courtesy, which is exactly what creates conflict. Also, does the community really depend on respect? Or is that just what people say to get respected by others? One form of disrespect is this: You are at the movie theaters. There is that one person who won’t stop slurping their Coca-Cola and no matter how empty their jumbo size cup is, they still seem to find more liquid to constantly be slurping. In this situation, there are probably many more people in the movie theater who are also extremely annoyed. Yet, the person doesn’t ever realize how obnoxious they are being. Even if they don’t know it, this is still very disrespectful because multiple other people are being affected. People who go to the movie theater go to watch movies. Obviously, they each have to pay money, so if you pay fifteen dollars to see a certain movie that everyone craves, you expect people to be respectful and not talk, slurp, use their phone, or kick the back of your
