Over the course of years, maybe even decades, the realm of technology has revolutionized, generating an aspect of both beneficial and negative impacts. Since the development of the internet in the late 1900's, a great deal of both social and technological complications have surfaced throughout the years as well.
Let's backtrack to 1991, with the conception of the World Wide Web, by Tim Berners-Lee and in 1992, with the creation of Netscape (or Netscape Navigator, originally Mosaic), a web browser, created by a group of students. Although there may have been several gadgets or contraptions before the two I mentioned, these two are the most relatable and contemporary samples. This notion was endorsed, due to the Congress's decision on using the web for commercial purposes. Although the public knew that these companies were entitled to cover most of the web, the concern for online privacy wasn’t a huge deal.
It was until the 1999's, with the creation of blogging sites, that social privacy was developing as something of personal importance. Although the idea of privacy in general had already been a thing the first time the modern man spoke a word (possibly) and at the time was used in the terms of getting away from the disturbance of those around you, which compares to concern of one's right to online privacy, which is often provoked by the myriad of complications that arise from the internet's sneaky and marketable
