I feel that I have struggled with this because I lack confidence on what I am trying to prove or say in my writing. When reading in the past I have never pushed myself to question the author’s purpose or ask questions that invoke much thought. Up to this point in the year writing in my journal as well as annotating in the text, has helped my reading and writing immensely.
Agatha Christie was born in Torquay, England on September 15, 1980. She was born Agatha Mary Clarissa Miller. Her father was an American named Frederick Alvah Miller. Agatha’s mother, Clarissa Margaret Beochmer Miller, was English-born. She died at age 86 on January 12, 1976.
After reorganizing the Agatha Christie essay, its effectiveness is evident. First, the introduction begins with a broad question to draw in the reader, and make them question the contents of the essay. Next, through the mention of related authors, the reader becomes more familiarized with the topic; another good tactic in pulling at the audience’s curiosity. The introduction then narrows down to the specifics of the essay, to let the reader know what is to come. Tying in with the introduction, the body follows the order of the points found in the introduction.
Who is the killer? It is important to note that there were three more minor characters who will not be analyzed in detail, but it is important to mention that they still contributed to the plot development of the book. These include the Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. who worked on the Island as housekeeping, and become one of the first victims on the Island. The final minor character being Tony Marston, a young and attractive man who enjoys good life and fast cars.

Nancy Christie and Michael Gauvreau’s article presents this argument by highlighting the role of the Protestant clergymen in ushering a social reform movement based on their issues with rural leadership. The motives behind the social reform initially began with the concern of the Protestant clergymen in increasing rural church attendance, but eventually shifted towards a movement for community reconstruction and social planning towards progressivism.
Suspenseful and deceptive, but extremely well-written, Death on the Nile by world renown author Agatha Christie, will have your eyes glued to its pages with its numerous plot twists. If you are in search for a mystery novel, this novel is just that as Agatha Christie intelligently crafts the plot to point every which way. Death on the Nile is seemingly intended for a younger audience such as teenagers and young adults with an average knowledge of vocabulary. This being said, it should be a great read for an older audience as well. Although not stated in detail, the time period in which the plot takes place is somewhere in the 1920's, found using clues and historical events as 'landmarks' for time.
I took the time to write out an outline for this essay to help manage the chaos that is my writing, unlike my other essays for the course. As I said before, I have learned to question the structure of my paragraphs. For example: when I was revising the Composing Process essay, I noticed that a set of paragraphs could be rearranged and partially rewritten to improve the structure and make the essay flow better. However, I would argue that my Justification video assignment demonstrates my assertion better than my revised essays. From the beginning, I laid out a clear path that my Justification video needed to follow.
ENG-122 Reflective Essay My writing process has changed tremendously over the course of this class. I feel more accomplished, confident and I feel sometimes that my ideas and thoughts just come in to my mind out of nowhere and I start writing about anything now. I pay attention to my punctuation and grammar more as I have polished them more now, not only when I write but then others write as well. I am constantly looking for errors and I highly think this is helping me a lot in my career.
Combining all of these elements will surely help end an essay the way the writer as intended it
