The holocaust was one of the worst genocides that has happened to one race in the last 100 years it lead to the deaths of 6 million to 17 million jews. There are not that many people still alive that got saved for it because of the exprempit they were put through the time they were in the camps dieing. One of many ways the nazis killed so many jews was gas chambers and pizza type ovens they had mounds of people from the gas chambers piled up in the millions. When they got saved they had to did massov graves and use a bulldozer to get all the bodys in to the grave. In the book Night by Elie Wiesel there are many instes of dehumanizing for example they had to be put in to the cattle cars.
The Holocaust The Holocaust was a sad, demoralizing event that will not be forgotten. In World War II, the Nazi party came to power in Germany. Hitler was their leader and he wanted the perfect Aryan race. So he took the disabled, Jewish, and mentally impaired and put them in camps, demoralizing them and killing them. They were treated as sub-humans.

People should always remember the devastating event when six million Jews were killed in Nazi Germany. This event was The Holocaust, and it occurred from 1933-1945. The Nazis captured Jews and kept them in concentration camps, then killed them, and burned them. Homosexuals, gypsies, and people with disabilities were also killed as well. The killings and oppression of the “inferior” people was tragic, and most people find it unspeakable to talk of or write about.

The Holocaust is a time in history when millions of people were persecuted in Europe by being sent to live in ghettos and eventually being deported to concentration camps where they were systematically annihilated until the Allied forces liberated the remaining survivors. The Jews were moved to the ghettos, because Hitler pushed the Jews to move to the east, then they concore move of the east and move them more to the east. Then “there was no more room for them to move to the east, so they built ghettos for them to live” (Byers 32). But his true intentions were to “separate the Jewish people from manly Germans and also other races” (Allen 37).

The holocaust is known as one of the most gruesome parts about World War II, the reason for that is because of the Nazi 's, only seeing the Jews as parasites needing to be exterminated, due to their racist and anti-Semitic ideology. German Fuher Adolf Hitler targeted all Jewish citizens because he believed that they were a threat to the German community. He believed that Germans were superior and wanted to remove other groups of non-Aryans from existence. He decided on the final plan to solve the Jewish question in 1941 and started planning it in January of 1942. This final plan was meant to kill eleven million Jews but resulted in the murder of six million.
The Holocaust have many individuals that believe what the Nazi did to the Jews was blown out of proportion. These groups of people state that the Nazis did not kill as many as the six million Jews that were reported murdered by the Nazi party, that the ovens the party used to kill Jews did not exist at all or were used for different purposes or that the film used after the war depicting the war crimes by the party was actually manipulated by the Allies against the Nazi party as propaganda. However, the Nazis did actually kill over six million Jews and the ovens in fact were used to exterminate the Jews while at these camps and due to the horrific reality of the situation, people are made to believe that this mass extermination of a ethnic group did not exist.
The Holocaust was a horrific tragedy which started in January of 1933 and ended in May of 1945, the Holocaust was the mass murder of millions of people. The word was derived from the Greek word that meant Sacrifice to the Gods (Steele 7), also called the Shoan which is the Hebrew word for catastrophe (Steele 7). So many countries took place in this 12-year genocide, including, “Germany, Italy, Japan, Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria, which were also known as the Axis Powers” (Steele 34). But, although there were all those countries they were all part of one larger group called the Nazis, were the ones who were killing all the different denominations of people. (Bachrach 58).
