The first time I heard about Americorps, it was my first year as a transfer student at Georgia State University. I had no idea of what the program was and what it consist of. The moment I search and read about the program without doubt I wanted to be a part of. The reason why I would like to join Americorps program because of the purpose it exhibits. Americorps represents the theory of idealism.
I want to join Year Up because the program appeals to many of my interest. I believe that Year Up is a good program for me. I am young and very devoted to learning new things and I believe the whole purpose of Year Up to give us youth the skills and training we need to achieve our personal goals. Year Up is a way for me to gain entry-level skills in the growing field of technology. I believe that I am a good candidate for Year Up because of my determination, hard working mindset, and personal values that will contribute to the Year Up program.
What draws me to City Corps is my interest in protecting the city I call home. Being a "Brooklynite" in an low income neighborhood, life was not easy growing up as a black man. As a child, I lived through hardships like losing both my grandmother and my mother at before the age of 16. The joy I get from helping people is a feeling that never goes away, but is also a concept that is increasingly neglected and being replaced with racism. Being apart of the conversation is the only way you can begin to find a solution to the growing complex social issues in our society today.

The literature that has been reviewed directly incorporates the principles set out in Goldson and Muncie “Youth Justice with Integrity”. The analysis of the current justice model attempts to maximize diversion by providing more offences available for extrajudicial measures and the use of measures for re-offenders. Additionally, it is argued that the de-politicization of the youth justice model will help the integrity by providing effective programs and services that will address the social needs of specific individuals within the available resources in the community. The programs and services that are being used are effective, but there are areas of improvement for greater prevention strategies which will hold a person more accountable for
The boys and girls club has many great sports activities to join in to help get kids out of the street and become more active in their community. They are there for you when you need them the most and you make so many new positive friends through the activities they have. Camp voyageur was my favorite camp they made you feel wanted and you never felt left out the camp leaders helped you become a leader and made you feel more independent. Boys and girls club have shown me a lot in life and I want to further my education so that someday I can give back to them. With all of my reasons why I want to further my education the most important reason is so I can give back to my family and community one day.
I constantly demonstrate the FBI’s core values such as compassion, fairness, leadership and respect in a day to day basis. I show compassion because I put other people’s needs before mine. Whenever I see someone upset I try to help them in anyway possible because I have empathy and it naturally comes to me to help them out. When I was younger and my mom would look upset, but she wouldn't tell me why, I still felt upset for her because it would hurt to see her angry. Whenever my friends are in trouble, I am usually the first to try to find out how I can help and tell them that I am there to lean on if they need me.
Dear the National Honor Society selection committee, Thank you for the great honor of being invited to apply for membership to such a well-respected and incredible organization. I am very excited about this opportunity as it presents an optimal way in which to further my passion of expanding my mind and bettering my community. Since I entered high school, I have pursued this by taking all honors classes and any Advanced Placement classes offered to me each year. Although sometimes I was not always entirely sure what to expect walking into each class, and of course there have been classes I like more than others, there is no class I regret taking because each and every one has opened my mind up to a new way of thinking.
The first and most important reason is the learning experience that being an area officer would provide. Second, is the opportunity to develop and better my leadership skills. The third and final reason why I want to be an Area 15 FFA officer, is to learn skills and knowledge that I can in turn use to help benefit my
“Never underestimate a FBI’s ability to find things out” (Unknown). FBI agents are people who investigate situations where harm is involved. Being an FBI agent has always been something that interests me. I have always liked solving things and this job is based a lot on solving investigations. I have never been interested in a laid back job, I have always wanted something more action based.
The only organization that maintains and follows the principles set forth by the 22 founders that started it all based on community service and scholarship. I am physically and mentally prepared to serve for a life time. I am confident in all that I commit myself

Do you think it is ok for a Juvenile to not be able to get some type of high school credits. What if it was you would u want to learn while you are in jail . If .you do lets jump right into it To begin with juvenile are kid that have made bad choses in their life, so why not give them another chance to put their lives back on track. There are 58 percent of latino , 26 percent of African,13 percent of Whites, and 3 percent of Asian. That’s a lot of teens that cant get and high school diploma.
Over the past three and a half years I have spent my life studying in school. I have studied for hours and hours about the field of criminal justice; the reason it exists, its history and development, theories that are used to explain topics in criminal justice, and cases that have been monumental in changing the way that criminal justice works. While all of these are great to learn about the field of criminal justice itself cannot be learned from reading textbooks and memorizing theories. This is why I am interested in an internship with the Griffin Police Department. I want to learn how the criminal justice system is in action, how things actually play out outside of the scholastic setting.
2. Work Experiences - including dates 6/15 - current I have been working for Maxim Healthcare Services for two years. I am a home healthcare aide working with the disabled community. My plan of care includes but is not limited to assistance with dressing, shopping, performing basic hygiene techniques (bathing, brushing teeth, assisting with restroom activities, etc).
