In the Official version of law, it is stated by an Australian writer Ngaire Naffine that law is believed by the world to be impartial, neutral and objective in the legal system in society (Commack,2014,p.11). That law shouldn’t be governed and decided through personal interest and prejudice. The blindfolded women with scales is symbolic to that idea. . The women itself stand for uncorrupted and untainted. With the scales representing that decisions should measure with the act.(Commack,2014 p.12). That leaves a thought in individual in today’s society on whether or not law is truly fair and just. In regard to gender and race, law base on these concepts through different factors provides different views in public eye. Looking at the way law plays a role through criminalization through culture. That argues that criminalization in terms of race and gender in relation to the law and how it is affected by culture and social view within the legal system. To turn people into criminal is the definition of criminalization. The chapter addresses how identity in relation to an individual and law. When the criminal law is broken by certain individuals. It is at that time they are judged and sentenced, where there are criminalized. Gendering practices have been said to be the way of how law is governed. Then there is the view that racializing is strategy when coming to enforcing law(Comak 2004 p.326). This lead to certain views on law on being sexist and racist in the public
