The use of archetypes in gangster films is a common practice that allows the audience to identify with the characters and their motivations, often rooted in the pursuit of the American dream. The archetypes in gangster films are typically characterized by their ambition, their willingness to take risks, and their determination to succeed at all costs, embodying the ideal of the self-made man who achieves success through hard work and perseverance. In Scarface, the protagonist, Tony Camonte, represents the rags-to-riches archetype, a character who rises from poverty to wealth and power. His obsession with the American Dream drives his actions throughout the film, as he pursues wealth, power, and status in the criminal underworld of Chicago. Thomas Schatz argues in his book "The Gangster Film" that the genre is characterized by "immoral [codes of] behavior” (16) and extraordinary people, who have abandoned conventional codes of morality and often embrace a life of crime as a means of achieving success in a society that has failed them.
Personalities, a combination of dispositions, are not physical; they are not visible, but they determine the actions and thought process of an organism. And the questionnaires we filled out about each other reflected that.
I thought the most interesting out of all the chapters was the idea that people do not have a core identity because I have noticed the way I act with different people, or settings, and I’ve seen it with other people too. I’ve also seen how other people change in certain, or different, situations too. I never realized that this was happening until I read and talked about this topic directly. I personally think that every person’s personality changes based on the circumstances in a person’s life.

Coming to this country I created my own personality, because I became a part of society where person chooses its own lifestyle and people to surround him/her. Living in this free country, which provides you with a lot of opportunities, I realized that I had to get education parallel to my work. PSY 207 Individual Assignment Introduction Personality, in the word itself, what I could see is the word personal.
