Ares, a god of war, is a child of Zeus and Hera. He is approximately 35 years old, has great physique and very strong muscular body. Ares is always wearing armor and carrying his sword. Ares is an ultimate soldier who has no fear but desire for good fight. His biggest enjoyment is war and everything related to it: blood, suffering, misery. Ares needs to be in constant state of warfare, since it is only one thing he knows the best. He loves to kill and have no mercy for his enemies. His main strength is in his fierce rage on battlefield. When Ares is fighting, nothing can distract him, he is completely focused on fight.

These three different aspects were covered every side of Greek society. Weaving was solely women’s responsibility, and was associated with dedication, hard working, creativity, as well as female sexuality. Therefore Athena, by default, was a patron of every woman. Men were venerated Athena too. Unlike violent Ares, she represents intellectual side of warfare. She also cares for the soldiers, while Ares is driven only by the pleasure of killing. As Athena, who helped and protected heroes such as Heracles, Odysseus, and Perseus, Simone de Beauvoir was an aid and inspiration for many famous people. One of whom was her long time partner, existentialist philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre. Both women represent strong female character that is charged with high intelligence.
