Over the last decade, video games have made a major impact on online interaction, especially in terms of live streaming. Live streams and eSports gaming have made a huge impact on viewers worldwide. However the key aspect that has been missing in the video game realm has been an offline community. This is where the documentary “offline” will focus on; community. The Good Game Bar is toronto's first and only eSports bar. This bar has brought the community together by creating a space for users to come out and see video game tournaments, compete in games, and watch live streams. To ensure the immersive quality, I will utilize sounds and music that reflect a gaming / entertainment tone which will further the concept that the focus for this doc is to highlight the gaming community. In many households growing up, the sounds and music from videos games were played more than any other form of music. I want to utilize both the classic and modern gaming soundtracks to build this immersive quality. Therefore you will hear classic 8-bit soundtracks from the days of Megaman, Mario Brothers and Sonic to today's more modern soundtrack such as Rocket League and Hotline Miami. In other terms, it will feature electronic dance music (EDM) as the soundtrack. I want the music to act as a narrative for the visuals allowing the spectator to be immersed. During the montage sequences I want to utilize fast tempos to go alongside the cutting in the visuals. Lastly, in terms of music, I want to ensure the viewer has a chance to catch up between segments. Therefore the transition between montages to talking heads will feature a temp change from fast to slow paced music so they have the ability to breathe while
