I tremble in fear and cry and hope that Jem will live. Dr. Reynolds arrives and checks Jem’s pulse. He says “I’m so sorry, your son is dead.” Atticus smashes a bottle and yells “How could he do this to my son?!!” A few days pass, and the trial against Bob Ewell occurs. I wasn’t watching on the balcony this time, I was a witness. The judge says to Ewell “If I am not mistaken, you attacked these kids and in the process, Jem was killed” “Am i mistaken?” Ewell says “I didn’t mean no serious harm, plus how you know I did it?” The judge says “ You were the only one with motive and the descriptions fit you entirely.“ Time passed with more and more pushback from Bob
