In this journal I will be evaluating and questioning.
To Kill a Mockingbird Journal #3 I am in the middle of the Novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” in which so far there has been conflict with families in a small town in Alabama. Some conflict between these families is what is considered the good thing to do and what is considered the bad thing to do. In this journal I will be evaluating the Character Atticus and his most recent of emulation between his heart and his town.

There is a group of men bearing weapons that approaches Atticus while he is outside of the jailhouse, and they are attempting to force him to refrain from defending Tom Robinson. Scout sees this happening, and runs into the mob to Atticus without a thought. Jem tries to stop Scout from cutting into them, but ends up having to chase her up to Atticus. Although, once Atticus tries to to tell them to leave, Jem refuses. He, unlike Scout,
Scout mentioned that they heard noises and thought that was a school mate, Cecil Jacobs. Minutes later an austere, Bob Ewell came running after them after being in a sulky mood. Later that day Atticus Finch was threatened by Ewell for defending Tom Robinson. Mr. Finch let it slide thinking it was a joke. He also thinks that everyone has good intentions and would never do anything to him. This shows cowardice because Bob tried to take revenge on Atticus kids beside talking to Atticus to try to settle things up.
I tried to run, but I tripped and fell. I heard a scuffle going on behind me. Jem screamed loudly and then the large figure was thrown to the ground. The man who had save Jem and I carried Jem’s seemingly lifeless body. The attacker had ran away by now.
