Gatsby portrays a perfect person who can only fulfill his desires in life. He sees a perfect, flawless woman. He ignores the imperfections of their past relationships while ignoring the problems of their current relationships. Gatsby sees Daisy for her wealth and status. He sees her fulfilling all of Gatsby’s desires and insecurities in life. Gatsby looks extremely wealthy. To have a high status. To be rich and on top. Gatsby never sees Daisy as her true self, but makes up an idea of Daisy in his mind. Gatsby idolizes Daisy to the point of delusion. Gatsby admires Daisy so much that Daisy, in his mind, becomes a fake Daisy of what Gatsby sees her as. Perfect. The sleeve is perfect.
