Wealth Can Change a Person Why do people change when they become wealthy? Imagine the countless possibilities that come with being extremely wealthy. When people have lots of money they seem to not care what they spend it on or who they impact. In The Great Gatsby, Jay Gatsby thought that having lots of money was going to help get the girl of his dreams, but being rich did not help him. Jay Gatsby is a good example in the story, because he was not careful with how he spent his money, and how he showed it. They are similar in many ways because with-out Gatsby he wouldn’t have been able to throw the parties and hope Daisy would come. From these real world examples and the book The Great Gatsby, hopefully people will be more mindful and appreciative of what they have. The Great Gatsby, Allan Iverson, and Michael Jackson remind society that its not all about money or who has the better house, but it is just about being respectful towards
