Marketing process has four major phases: Firstly, understanding the market environment and the requirements of the customers; Secondly, creating the product or providing the service that the customers need and expect; Thirdly, communicating with the target market for promoting the product/service and adding perceived value to your offering, and Finally; delivering an offering to the customer that they demanded (Elliott, Rundle-Thiele, & Waller, 2008).
Another way to explain marketing and its process is that the idea that marketing is basically needed to understand customers' needs, to create goods and services to fulfill those needs, and to develop new skills to reinforce the new attitudes or consumption patterns (Alderson, 1952). Firstly as the statistics indicate the Health Council understands that the health gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians is massive. The Hero Rewards: building on program success was launched in May 2010. After understanding the health issues faced by indigenous Australians QUAIHC introduced the Hero Rewards and communicated with their target audiences using different media, like television and radio community service announcement, with NRL football legend Steve Renouf as the ambassador. They used other incentives such as 1200 gift card for patients who attended and completed their health check. QUAIHC has forged partnerships across different elements of health sector to facilitate the indigenous Australian with health care. A website for the community to ‘register’ for a health check and be referred to their local community controlled health service was developed to deliver them the services of health
