This book was very insightful into the lives of the people involved in the Holocaust. It showed that no matter how confident a person is about who they are, life is unpredictable, and people change. The Holocaust put many lives at risk while bringing others to an end. This piece was very effective in showing what the Holocaust was like, and what it took to survive. Elie Weisel, the writer of this book, gave the reader a personal account of his experiences as a Sightet Jew in the Holocaust.

Regarding these statistics, the Holocaust is still a very emotional event in history to many. Ever since the Holocaust, people have had multiple different viewpoints on the topic, including writers. One author that shares my viewpoint on the Holocaust is an author by the name of David Oliver Relin.
We are going to discuss the article, “At the Holocaust Museum,” by David Oliver Relin. This document is about the museum in Washington, DC that informs of the horrors Hitler and his Nazi party did to the Jews during World War II, killing more than 6 million and taking away their citizenship and rights. This fact about the Holocaust portrays objectivity through measurable data. A majority of informal articles are primarily objective over subjective; informing the reader and giving the reader facts and data than displaying or providing a point of view or emotions. Subjectivity is when the text or segments of the text are being based on or influenced by someone's personal feelings, tastes, or opinions; the author’s, characters, or other people’s.
The Nazis implemented a number of techniques to keep not just the German people in ignorance of Hitlers intentions, but the world as a whole. Techniques such as propaganda, the masking of death camps as “work camps” and outright secrecy were the main ones used to hide their intentions of the final solution which was the genocide of the Jews. Surviving the Holocaust can quickly change someone's outlook on life. The author, Mark Jacoby, wrote "The Tree I Sprang From '' from his father's experience at Auschwitz during the Holocaust. Hard power was utilized by the Nazi regime in many ways during the Holocaust. Six million Jewish people were massacred by the Nazi regime in Germany during the Holocaust, a period of organized extermination that took place during World War Two. By using "hard power," and force to advance the Nazis' goals of racial dominance and purity, the Holocaust was made possible. This included the usage of concentration camps, where captives experienced awful conditions, forced work, and medical exams.
In history there was many events that were horrifying. The Holocaust was one of those frightful events. During the World War II, the nazis were the ones in charge of the Holocaust. The Holocaust is the genocide of almost six million European Jews during World War II, in an intentional attempt to eradicate by the National Socialist German Workers’ Party known as Nazis in Germany under the command of Adolph Hitler. While the majority of people today understand at least vaguely what the holocaust was, yet there are actually an aggrandizing amount of people that don't fathom or apperceive what it involved. The Holocaust is a time in history when millions of people were persecuted in Europe by being sent to live in ghettos and eventually being deported to concentration camps where they were systematically annihilated until the Allied forces liberated the remaining survivors. The Jews were moved to the ghettos, because Hitler pushed the Jews to move to the east, then they concore move of the east and move them more to the east. Then “there was no more room for them to move to the east, so they built ghettos for them to live” (Byers 32). But his true intentions were to “separate the Jewish people from manly Germans and also other races” (Allen 37).
To kill many people, one must have a great weapon. For Hitler, his greatest weapon was propaganda. (Gottfried,19) After World War I, Germany was in deep depression due to the Versatile Treaty terms, the weak coalition governments and political crisis. During a vulnerable time for Germany, Hitler noticed that the Jews controlled much of Germany’s commerce and trade and that most of the Jews were well off while the Germans were barely surviving.
Among the other countries, Germany was certainly not the only one to use propaganda against the unwanted. Hitler’s hatred for the Jews influenced other countries to see propaganda. Hitler blamed the Jewish people for their loss of World War I, also for prolonging the war to gain wealth, and using the constitutional democracy to weaken the politics of the nation; and through the use of propaganda , he used the Jews as a scapegoat or as a group of people for germany's defeat in World War one. Hitler using propaganda convinced thousands of people that is was ok to kill countless Jews and many others. In the book the rize of the Nazis, it is stated “Goldhagen suggests that the nazi were expert propagandist, using their talents to convince ordinary germans that jews were the enemies of national socialism”the nazis were among the most sophisticated and innovative users of propaganda in history¨
Back in time it was a matter of course to get married, people did it because of tradition and maybe because everyone else did it. It wasn 't as special as it is today, back then you were much better at compromising. Today most of us think it’s a big deal to get married and get committed in such way to another human being, because we know it’s can go the other way around too. Many people are having a divorce, and when we hear that, we don’t get as surprised as we should, because it happens all the time and we know that almost every marriage ends up in a divorce. We change all the time, and our generation is a lot different from the generations before.
