In this report I will be discussing crimes and how they have an impact on policing and the community. First, we must understand the meaning of policing styles and public relations. Mainly policing styles are different kinds of policing styles in different communities and depending on the class of citizens that have different expectations of the police. Now police carry computers in their car in order to search for warrants and license plates when they have to pull someone over. Another crime that has affected our community as well as our law enforcement and is probably the biggest concern in America would be identity theft. Identity theft claims several victims every day and there has been laws passed that help the victim resolve an identity theft. Technology has changed on how the police has the resources on catching these identity crooks. According to text “The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC) has a powerful weapon in the fight against identity theft. The weapon is the FBI’s NCIC Identity Theft File which was created to serve as a means for law enforcement to “flag” stolen identities and identify the imposter when encountered by law enforcement” (Utah.gov, 2014).
