The media has an enormous impact today, but how much does the media really affect our lives? According to articles, the media has the most impact on teens 14-18, so these middle years are when teenagers start to become adults and in today’s generation the internet has become addicted to the media, with common knowledge the viewers can see why the media is a big impact on sports along with many different things that are happening in today’s world. More-less, the media will affect someone’s thinking with the information provided to viewers. The media has lacked responsibility against viewers and athletes by not always stating the facts, but the media knows that if they only show the facts and not exaggerate the truth, they would lose viewers. It is the media’s note to encourage positive communication rather than promote things to make the story seem more exciting to get people to watch. The media exaggerates certain sports stories to get people to listen, and most people take sides without knowing the full story, but some people make up articles which experts call “fake news.” Fake news has been reported by many big corporations like CNN or FOX news. CNN did a section about fake news and how people make up or change stories, mostly about sports to get viewers to read them, which in turn gives the makers of the article money. CNN had an interview with some of the owners of fake news websites and to our surprise, some of these website owners did not know or care that the
