While re-watching some of Donald Trump’s speeches that he gives during his “Presidential campaign”, I noticed just how much he uses Aristotle’s three appeals. This method are both hurting and helping him at the same time. He uses pathos or the emotional appeal quite frequently. Donald has a specific target audience that he appeals to when he says that he is speaking to America. I feel as if his demographic is older white people who feel as if their country is no longer what it used to be.
Jerry Brewer’s Washington Post article, “The NFL Beat Trump. Soundly”, gives the information on how our NFL players and our president Donald Trump are having a controversial dispute. Jerry Brewer states “the actions of the NFL players which has many American football fans enraged by their actions during the national anthem”. Brewer didn’t have too many examples in proving that the NFL had beat trump. In this article, Brewer did not use rhetoric well in this article to explain how the NFL had beaten trump.
When criticizing the apology speech by Tiger Woods we need to look at a few subjects that help explain the reason for the situation. To accomplish this task we need to know who Tiger Woods is, to whom he was addressing, and why this speech was delivered. This way a rhetorical criticism of the speech can be developed. The first part to address is the speaker. Who is the speaker?
President Nixon is one of the most famous Presidents in American history for being the first one to resign from office. While Nixon is famous for doing such an unthinkable act, he is also the one that gave one of the best and most well known speeches in political history, The Checkers Speech. The speech was given by (Senator at the time) President Nixon when he was running for Vice President on General Eisenhower’s Presidential ticket. A newspaper, the New York Post, had a front page with the headline "Secret Rich Men's Trust Fund Keeps Nixon in Style Far Beyond His Salary"; the article alleged that people were donating to a secret fund that Nixon had for his personal benefit in trade for political favors.
During the second GOP debate Jeb Bush wanted an apology from opposing running mate Donald Trump because Trump made some rude comments towards immigration and Bush’s wife, who is from Mexico. This is bad media and one should be avoided because this is a very trivial matter in the presidential race. However, when using digital media it easy to get off the article and find a better more informative source.
Because the NFL handled the situation in the way that they did, many people believe the NFL does not value domestic abuse as severely as they should, which gives them a negative reputation. If it was ever proven that the NFL did in fact see the video before it was released, they would have an even bigger crisis to
Bush’s relationship with the American citizens is comforting and soothing. Bush’s 9/11 Address was meant to influence everybody including the terrorist. They assume that America is going to stick together and get through this and they’re holding president Bush accountable because he promised this. After the message, the American people assume that the terrorist will be taken down.
Shame on you PAUL RYAN, shame on you for selling out the poor Irish and Scotch Irish. Shame on you for using Jesus as a hidden reason to kill healthcare, because I’m a catholic like you, I know Jesus would never harm anyone and use abortion or anything else as a ploy to bring harm on others. You are not a good Catholic Irishmen; you are a hateful greedy human being who cares for nothing other than yourself. Please don’t use your faith as an
The NFL’s reaction was absurd and all they did was place many people in danger. Their decision to withhold the truth led to parents
Reporters take heavy casualties, much to be the delight of the public. At every packed rally, Trump gestures with sarcasm and contempt toward the news cameras in the back room. “They won’t turn the camera and show how big the crowd is,” he taunts, “The media is so dishonest, so dishonest!” By the end of the campaign, Trump rallies have regularly broken into thousands chanting “CNN sucks! CNN sucks!”

This causes awareness to why they’re kneeling during the national anthem. These news outlets give NFL players a voice and a way to speak their mind. When famous people are given largely viewed outlets they are able to spread awareness. Going on the NFL players aren’t only spreading awareness but they’re also doing it
Introduction The video introduction opens to Donald Trump, who is hosting this episode, and two Secret Service Agents walking to the production stage. The director of the show walks over to greet him, but is first stopped, patted down for security precisions, and has his phone taken away to prevent anything from being recorded that Trump may say. The director then walks Donald Trump over to the production room. Trump walks into the room and begins the live introduction.
In his inaugural speech given on January 20, 2001, George W. Bush address the country for the first time after being sworn in as the 43rd president of the United States. Millions of people from around the world tuned in to watch the president give his address. The people who voted for and against him are both wanting to hear what the president has to say. George W. Bush gives an effective inaugural address by using biblical allusions, collaborative language, and an anaphora in order to unite the country after a contentious election. Bush used biblical allusions to appeal mostly to the evangelicals who were listening to his speech.
