The world is a better place because of caregivers. Caregivers are people that naturally and easily help others. Caregivers possess a natural instinct not all people are born with. This DNA-like characteristic is a talent some people have inside even though they may never discover it during their life. This special person will make great efforts to help others. For example, the ability to care enough to listen and talk with people suffering from depression or providing shelter to a homeless person are ways to be a caregiver. Not enough people are willing to offer this care. Caregiving can be the simple act by one person of helping someone else just one time. Caregivers can be people who just help once or donate money, time, or volunteer just once or twice. There are others who join an organization and help out once in a while or once a month. Then there are caregivers like Mary Stuart-Miller or the people at MSF that organize big continuing efforts to care for people. These big efforts are like the efforts made by special athletes. Special abilities are God-given talents that we discover and then almost naturally they develop into amazing abilities that only some people possess. Some people are good at sports or have a natural ability at sports. There is a difference between someone who is just good at sports or plays tennis on the weekends and someone who plays advanced tennis in a club, and then professional tennis players. The natural abilities and passion for the activity make only some people super athletes. Just like athletes, some caregivers may donate money or their time once or twice but others turn caregiving into a lifelong passion. Some people even become professional caregivers, like professional athletes. They decide their job is caregiving. A nurse is a professional caregiver and possesses a special natural DNA inside that makes them a caregiver. The doctors at MSF is a group of super caregivers. Every student’s life would be better without bullying. When students are being bullied, they feel depressed. Caregivers could help. According to the anti-bullying website, “tell”, students who are the target of persistent bullying and abuse can become depressed and have low self-esteem. It is a good idea that there would be a club for new students run by other students to welcome them and also protect them from bullying or abuse. This idea is a kind of caregiving and would be good for all schools. A club would create a way to combine people’s inner feelings with their experiences of being a target of bullying with abilities of others as a caregiver. Like the world, school would be a better place with caregivers. A club like this may never become a group of super caregivers but it can help students in a real way.
