Child abuse also termed as child maltreatment means the physical, psychological, or sexual mistreatment of a child by anyone also includes neglect of the child by parents or caregivers, etc. Neglect involves any action or lack of action by parents or caregivers which ultimately lead to the potential or actual damage to a kid. This neglect can occur at home, school, in any organization or community, etc. Child abuse and maltreatment are used interchangeably many times, but there is a little difference between them. Maltreatment refers to involving neglect, trafficking, and exploitation, etc. Like all crimes, child abuse is also a crime to look upon and research on it as every year there are thousands of children who become a victim. This research paper is to find out what is the cause behind the decrease in the incidences of sexual abuse and the commonest types of physical violence are? In America, child maltreatment is one of the most destructing social concerns. In 1990, cases of neglect and child abuse as reported were over two million. From 1979 to 1988, child deaths because of these causes were 2000 per year, and cases involving intense traumas were 160,000 just in 1990 (Miller, 2006). Besides, the long term ever growing behavioral, social and thinking results of child abuse on victimized kids are additional. Research conducted on child maltreatment give enough knowledge and understanding which can benefits sufferers of ill-treatment, or neglect, etc. Such victims also need to be given equal attention just as burn victims, sufferers of infections or genetic diseases, etc. Such victims are also socially dormant or lack self-confidence. The article states that part of the decline is because of greater public mindfulness, stepped-up avoidance attempts, and enhanced training as well as education. The decline in the rate of child abuse is not just because of the efforts of a single department or organization, but many organizations, systems worked together to achieve this progress in preventing child ill-treatment. Abuse can be of any sort such as physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, psychological abuse, financial abuse, cultural violence or verbal abuse, etc. However, most common are bodily and sexual abuses. Physical abuse means any intentional action taken to cause injury, trauma, bodily harm or suffering. Another most common is sexual assault. So these cases of wrongdoings have been decreased by arranging seminars and public development programs targeting children were carried out and are still working. Lots of offenders get imprisoned, orders are sent for better monitoring of aggressors in the community, offenders treatment programs are also working. All of these together made this decline
