Therefore, we already present two possibly considerably hurdles that fortunately the majority of children manage to overcome smoothly. This is somewhat due to the management of their learning environment and the creation of a warm, positive and encouraging ethos. However, as we know not all children react in the same way to situations and It is clear that when teaching a class of children of any age how disruptive behaviour can negatively impact all involved, leading to the need of a program of positive behaviour strategies that is followed consistently throughout a school.
I also think it is important to communicate to children and young people efficiently so that they understand what you are saying to them. Also you should be available to a child or young person when they want to talk to you and should take interest. Asking questions in the classroom is a good way in which to get all the pupils involved and this way when pupils are involved and no one is left out then this will get everyone together and will start to form stronger relationships with one another. Also when you praise a student for their good work then this will make them feel good and will make them want achieve more. Furthermore it is important not to make comparisons between each student because then this will make the child feel like they are less and this will start to cause problems.
At Meachem, there is a student who is punished for leaving the classroom on his own accord, yet when he acts out in class, the teacher will often send him into the hallway. This sends the student a mixed message on appropriate and inappropriate behavior. A way to integrate best practice in this situation is to sit down with the student and teacher and establish ground rules for appropriate behavior. One should also explain to the teacher that a child cannot be reprimanded for behaviors that the teacher is instituting. Additionally, a check in/check out system with a peer mentor may be beneficial to the student in helping them achieve daily goals, such as calming down when upset or completing class work.
Rules are a basic law that we must abide by. Schools in particular are a common place for rules to be followed by students. Each classroom has their own rules as well such as no texting in class or not being late. Society today is built around rules; we rely on rules as a form of societal conduct. Even if we like them or not, or abide by them or don’t, rules are everywhere.
There are unspoken rules when it comes to society and how we are “supposed” to function in certain settings or situations. High school, of course, is no exception, being a somewhat obligated rite of passage in our society as an aid to our educational development. Freshmen year you are pushed to discover what these unwritten rules and normals are, either through trial and error or by getting clued in before time. I experienced a little bit of both over my four years of high school, coming out of it with a better understanding of my high school’s culture.
As aforementioned, I would collaborate with my students about the type of consequences that they would have if they made poor choices that broke one of the rules. The type of consequence that I would use the least in my classroom would be the conventional consequences. In my opinion, removing students from the learning environment, unless absolutely necessary, is a disservice to students. This is not to say that some of the consequences may remove students from their working environment, because they might, but students will always be in the classroom. To better explain my point, consider the following example: Joe is working with his group during math centers, and he begins to throw the manipulatives at his classmates.

A number of ways to establish a safe and supportive learning environment is to stay within what is deemed as conventional rules and disciplines. A typical class room layout is rows of desks and chairs facing the front, it is the usual expected layout for learners and encourages them to accept conformity, something as simple as sitting on the chairs facing the front of the classroom is reassuring to the majority that the class is safe. Throughout this essay I will be explaining how a behaviour policy supports teachers and how it can also create an effective learning environment. I will also be highlighting any issues which could potentially arise from the use of a behaviour policy. A behaviour policy is guidance for members of staff within a school on how to deal with different behaviours, and sets out the expectations of behaviour for all children at the school. If a behaviour policy is written well it will support the formation of an effective learning environment. An effective learning environment for young children is an environment in which all children feel able to express themselves freely, allowing them to learn effectively.
I have learned that as an educator I need to be there for my students, protect them, and care for them as my own children. I learned about certain strategies and techniques I can use in the classroom. We discussed how important it is to prevent misbehavior in the classroom. Some prevention strategies I learned are; to plan and anticipate, have high expectations, focus on the relationships with your students, do not give up on students who have a label. These techniques will assist me as a teacher to prevent misbehavior and to have a good classroom management.

The following literature reviews will show the importance of proactive classroom management through praise and consistent consequences through punishments. things as simple as a seating arrangement promotes fairness. every student gets a spot to sit and no desk is any better than another. avoiding favoritism and prejudice is also a way to promote fairness in class. students notice when the same people are called on repeatedly. As a teacher it is important to make sure all students have access to learning.
Even under these aspects, there are more branches of why rules are important. The first reason why rules are important is that they maintain civil behaviour in the community. Everyone should have a civil behaviour; meaning to be courteous and polite to others. An example and reason why a civil behaviour is required is so everyone has democratic rights.
There are certain said and unsaid rules and regulations that teacher and student follow. For example the student is aware that he or she has to give respect to the teacher and they know that there is a certain way they have to sit in class while being taught or for that matter standing up from their places greeting the teacher when they enter the class. The teacher knows that there is a particular way to address the class or help a student out. The teacher knows that the only way she or he can efficiently convey information or instructions is if the students are able to understand him or her thus it is very important for a mutual understanding to be established between them.
