I think that in modern day America we have more equality then most people give it credit for. Everyone says that America doesn’t have equality when really America is a wonderful country and gives out so many opportunities to the people that live here. They reason I chose this topic is because i'm tired of everyone going on about how the country disrespects them but the people of this country disrespect the country even more by kneeling before the flag and calling all cops corrupt. Even when they’ve been doing more for this country, more than most people have. Respect works both ways, you have to respect one person to gain that respect back.

During the 2017 Grammys, some people were mad at the Grammys due to that they weren’t diverse enough. The thing is though, the grammys are about music, it's the peoples choice on what music they like and to some people latin music isn’t there style. You don’t just get to win just because you are from another country, have a song about social injustices, or have another language in your song. A lot of people were upset about not that many women winning but Alessia Cara won best new artist of the year and I think that’s a pretty big milestone. …show more content…

Our music and other fine arts are being more diverse than most people think, More minorities are getting jobs, and both genders are getting the right pay. If we really want to spread equality we should treat everyone with kindness and respect even if they wear a cop uniform or if they are African American. Because we all have to live on this depressing Earth so why not make the World not such a bad place. We can do this by recognizing what we have in common instead of looking and focusing on our flaws. We all have flaws but it’s not our job to point those out, but to learn from them and improve them in order to improve our own
