Plenty of factors must be considered in the situation of the father and son at the airport in Singapore. What is of utmost importance is the relationship between the two. A parent is supposed to protect its child, under all circumstances, and must do whatever it takes in order to ensure its child’s safety, even when the parent’s own lives are at risk. Parents cannot abandon their child and leave their children for death; it is just not morally permissible whatsoever and overall it is just unjustifiable to even consider. As a parent, you assume the responsibility from the birth of your child, to always be there for them, whenever they need you, and if you fail to do so, then it is evident that one has failed at being a parent.
