Many government officials still hold to the 2nd Amendment, which bluntly states, "... the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. " This being part of the Constitution, it bears a lot of credibility.

In a nation of pioneers and settlers, where we capitalize upon a bear wielding a firearm to represent “our right to bear arms” there has come to be quite a bit of bloodshed because of that right. Fear has been interwoven into the school system, a kind of fear that even the greatest school safety measures cannot prevent. Such instances being the Columbine, Newtown, and the more recent Parkland school shooting. It cannot be controlled who does the killing, but what can be isolated is the weapon those chose as their aid in the slaughtering. So many lives are lost in these devastations a step towards preventing more from being lost is increasing gun control.
There has been some bad history with guns, (especially in the wrong hands). There was an incident at a school in Newtown, Connecticut, where a boy named “Adam Lanza” went into an elementary school and starting shooting at all the kids and staff at the school. When the first call to 911 was sent out it took police 3 minutes and 21 seconds for the first officers to get there. The gun rights are from
Gun Control Gun control is one of the most talked about issues in America with the many mass shootings in the past years. People are scared and worried for themselves and their families, most of these people want guns to be banned or at least restricted. While the other part of Americans believe that guns are not the issue and feel that banning them would go against their constitution right to bear arms. As of 2013 an estimated 270 million total guns are registered to people in the United States.
Gun control has been a controversial issue for many years. Many citizens believe that if gun control is strictly enforced it would reduce the threat of crime. People have the right to bear arms for protection, or even just the pleasure of hunting and recreational activity. With the recent events involving firearms and mass shootings, people are skeptical whether to increase or decrease gun laws. Americans have a constitutional right to own handguns and stricter laws and licensing will not effectively save lives.
In United States, gun control has already became a very popular topic in public. Right now, more and more legal residents can possess firearms, so the problem become more and more severe. Therefore, some disadvantages take place in our society and personal life. People begin to care about gun control problem. They also need government to show some responses.
You don’t even have to go through a background check if you buy a gun at a gun show making it extremely easy for people that have committed felonies or have mental illness to buy any type of gun. The number one reason why the United States don’t want to get rid of their gun laws is because of self-defense, yes in a way I do understand how guns can make you feel safer, on the other hand, looking the statistics from 2007 to 2011 only 0.12 percent of victims of all property crimes used a firearm to protect themselves. From 2007 to 2011 only 0.79 percent of victims of violent crimes protected themselves with a gun. Meaning that not even 1 percent of the population even uses the gun for security.
Gun control has been a big factor in today’s society, now days it is often to see people getting their lives taken from them due to guns. Having researched one side of the issue, that gun violence had increased over the last year. Having researched the other side of the issue, more gun owners are feeling their rights are being taken little by little. There is no question this is a complicated issue that will require a complicated answer.
For years gun control has been a topic of many debates and much controversy. Countless friendships have been broken or possibly started due to the topic at hand. Overall everyone knows that one political extremist who takes the issue of gun control out of proportion. Changing times mean that weapons are advancing along with all the other technology. The average person does not need a semi-automatic rifle to defend themselves.

Gun control reform is needed to safeguard children and prevent access to those with mental illness and a criminal background. Guns should be allowed in America for multiple reasons. These include: it is the second amendment. The founding fathers believed that each citizen of the United States deserves rights. Therefore, the 'fathers ' wanted each individual to legally own a gun for purposes of protection. In addition to this, in regards to authorities it acts as a problem for them.
With tougher gun control laws, there will be a lesser chance of another shooting. Owning a weapon makes a person feel safer. Pew Foundation report found that “79% of male gun owners and 80% of female gun owners said owning a gun made them feel safer and 64% of people living in a home in which someone else owns a gun felt safer.” The truth is owning
