The frank family fled from their home to Switzerland. But, where did they actually go? All of this panic because they are Jewish. Because they have a different religion?! Keep reading as I tell you the struggles and conditions of how life was in the secret annex. The life in the secret annex was certainly crowded. For starters, they had 8 people in this small annex. They also had mostly two or more people in each small room. Even some of them got claustrophobic in these conditions. This is a very claustrophobic living condition to be in. Also, in the secret annex there was a lot of tension. For, example when Peter kissed Anne there was a lot of tension between them. There was also a lot of tension when Mrs. Frank caught Mr. Van Daan eating their bread. Another great example of tension is when they were getting robbed and peter fell and broke the lamp that caused a lot of noise. For starters, anne had a very bad nightmare that they got caught this was like a year in and they stayed there for two years. Also, when any car or dog goes by they would flip out and stay still until the person or thing that was outside left or stopped they almost looked like statues. When the Frank family and Van Pels got caught there was a lot of fear in them for their lives. In the final analysis, life in the secret annex was not all that great. In fact, they were scared for their lives. They also had a lot of tension around all of them. Both of the families were filled with fear for their lives.
