The stories of Junot Diaz feature various elements of social and personal issues that are highly prevalent in young Latinx men, primarily the compulsion and adverse effect of machismo, the poignancy of being an outcast in one’s community, and the lack of a father figure in a boy’s life. The first set of short stories prominently feature Ysrael, a Dominican boy whose face was disfigured by a pig when he was an infant. In “Ysrael”, he is the object of Yunior’s fascination, and the victim or Rafa’s (Yunior’s brother) torment.

Robert Wood traveled to Uganda in search of how the AIDS crisis had effected the men and women in the town of Bwaise. In his book AIDS and Masculinity in the African City: Privilege, Inequality, and Modern Manhood, he found that this crisis along with growing women’s economic opportunities have posed a threat on men’s sense of masculinity. These men are experiencing an identity crisis within their life because ideals in their work, authority, and sexuality are beginning to shift. This threat to a man’s masculinity is not only in Bwaise, but also in America. Gender equality and feminism have been on the rise and some men have felt threated by it for the same reason the Bwaise men feel threatened; it takes away their power and masculinity.
“Masculinity as Homophobia” an article by S. Kimmel, that talks about how men these days have the fear of being judged and ranked based on their manhood. There are some arguments that the Professor mentions and uses in his article that supports his argument and some experiences from other people 's perspective in life of men over the years. The author’s main argument is about how men these days are being watched and judged closely based on how they walk, talk, eat, dress, move and look like. The author explains how the world is judging men and how it tries to take that power and that pride of being a man.
The theme of masculinity plays a big role in the novel Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. Throughout the novel Cal learns that he is not the same as everyone else and realizes why many times he felt uncomfortable living as a female. Once Cal discovers that he was actually born a male his whole life and identity change. Many times in the novel when Cal starts to gain more of his masculine identity something happens to one of the male characters. The deaths of prominent male family members in the novel foreshadows to Cal’s discovery of his male identity.

In The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway, the main character, Jake Barnes, is experiencing life post World War I. In a war that denounced faith and integrity, Jake becomes troubled by the concept of being part of a world without purpose. As a result, he starts drinking heavily along with his friends, who are also experiencing the same problems. However, no matter how much these characters drink, they cannot escape their sadness. To add to this purposeless life, Jake also struggles with male insecurity which all the veteran males struggled with after the war.

Wollstonecraft argues for the rights of women in her A Vindication of the Rights of Woman: with Strictures on Political and Moral Subjects. She opposes that only men can receive education. Women are taught by their mother the knowledge of human weakness, “cunning, softness of temper, outward obedience, and a scrupulous attention to a puerile kind of propriety” (2.2). They should be beautiful, then men will protect them. Wollstonecraft argues that women focus on being beautiful and stay indoors, they can’t really run reason because they depend on men.

1. Introduction to Organisational Structures The Organizational Structure within a company determines the way in which an organization’s operational activities are performed. Some of the main operations defined within an organizational structure include the allocation, supervision, and coordination of how a project is to be completed. The organizational structure will determine how tasks are performed during a project and who the tasks are to be performed by. The organizational structure also states who will manage or oversee the project and the processes or protocols that will be implemented during the time frame of that particular project.
It acts as an operating manual that defines the way the jobs are distributed and how individuals interact within the company to achieve their goals (Distelzweig, 2004). A detailed study on organizational structure relates organizational structure to the way information flows through the hierarchical arrangement. There are basically two types of organizational structure; centralized and decentralized. In a centralized system the highest layer of hierarchy is responsible for decision making and controlling departments and division.
Over generations, the role of women in society has shifted and changed immensely, improving upon many aspects of rights and values that women have. The changes occurred gave women opportunities to provide ideas, to have the same rights as men, giving women freedom, leading to many contributions of many significant and valuable events. But from current roles of women being equal to those of men, how women stood in ancient society significantly differs and contrast with ours today. Throughout history, the role and significance of women were always outweighed by the dominance and influence of men. The role of women in ancient times varied throughout, depending on the place and area in the world, in which women had different roles and impacts on their own society.
However, it can be seen that the higher a country scores in Masculinity the higher is the gender gap in the society. For instance, In China and India this gender gap be easily seen. In these societies Men are more dominant. One can criticise the Hofstede research findings about the Masculinity and Femininity dimension as “the MAS scores are mainly based on men’s answers” (Hofstede G. , 1984).

Our objective is to find out the advantages and disadvantages of different organization structure that Apple Inc. has implemented till now. Apple Inc. has followed a flat structure of organization. Basically this flat structure has encouraged employees to contribute to the decision making process by directly participating in it.
