Skills An ability to do something or a task. It is important to determine if you have a different skills. In other words, the abilities that one possesses. Skill usually requires certain environmental stimuli and situations to assess the level of skill being shown and used. According to Clarke University Counseling and Career Services, the biggest adjustment for college students is the increase of personal responsibility. New college students find themselves with a tremendous amount of freedom with a lot less external structure. There are no set study times, no required meal times, no one to tell them when to sleep or get them up, an increase in their academic workload, a greater need to multi-task and balance and a myriad of new social opportunities and challenges. Based on the statement, it is a part of a skill of students. As a student i realized the important of prioritizing my responsibility because of that i can develop my skill through challenges I encountered in a college life. Some of student know them responsibility being a college student in university. Educators develop their teaching skills not only because of experience but also to through their students. Kavale et aI. (2004) stated that students who have deficits in social skills often experience low self-esteem, loneliness, and peer rejection. Also, students who have been rejected by their peers will change the way they interact in social situations after that rejection almost immediately (Coie, 2004).
