In “A Christmas Carol”, by Charles Dickens, Scrooge is taught a very important lesson by the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. The ghost brought him tomany different places throughout the night, with his first stop being two families that show different feelings after finding out that Scrooge has passed away. The first place they visit is a family who is very poor and owes Scrooge money. As they find out that Scrooge has died, they are very happy, because they have a child to raise, and they don’t have any spare money. The ghost also brings Scrooge to Bob Cratchit's house, who is his employee. As Bob is arriving home, he finds that his youngest child, Tiny Tim has also died. As they find out that Scrooge has died, they are very happy, because they have a child to raise, and they don’t have any spare money. The second stop that the ghost takes Scrooge is to the slum part of the city where a pawn shop is located. In the pawn shop, Scrooge witnesses three characters who are selling Scrooge’s personal belongings. They have his blankets, bed curtains, his silverware, cups, and one lady took the shirt he was wearing from his dead body. This shows Scrooge that people are really just worried about his money, his house, his business, and his belongings, not that he just died. The third and final place they go is a cemetery. The ghost leads him to a gravestone, that is entitled “Ebenezer Scrooge.” When the ghost tells him to lift it up and look inside,
