Introduction: Hello and welcome to Media show from Griffith College Dublin, exploring issues related to digital media. I am Hong Anh and today in this edition, we will be discussing about how social media change the way we communicate.
It is obvious that our life is more convenient than ever before thanks to technology. The invention and widespread use of social media has constantly changed the way people communicate with each other compared to traditional way in the past few decades.
Apart from tradition way as direct face-to-face communication, people have other means of communication in the digital world of Internet. The popularity of online communication via email, chat, especially through social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+…. have changed the way people think as well as practice the new communication.
The explosion of social media means that now everyone can talk to everyone about everything all the time across all age level, and these conversations can be accessed constantly changing in shaping the way we interact with each other. That means today people use technology to get its advantages then apply to their communication process.
Social media has widely enabled us to communicate with a greater number of people on a global scale that only used to be viable on a local level before. While this is great for people when it comes to keeping friendships alive over great distances, it also increases the demands to keep a larger number of relationships
