Time in the Life of a College Student “Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination. Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today,” said Phillip Stanhope. This quote literally describes how I managed my time on my first semester of the college life here in America. As the end of the semester approaches, I figured out how I had gained a lot of new experiences and noticed what I should prioritize first in managing my time. I believe in the theory that I have to at least give myself as much as one hour per day to do whatever I want. Normally, I would spend my time between classes where I have an hour break to watch some movies, build nano Lego blocks, or play some games. I never waste even a second of these precious time because of how much important is it for me. It is the only time where I could get away from emotional stress and be relaxed from the excessive pressure of studying. Even though I never regretted it, I am truly sorry for putting little effort to communicate with them. One of the reasons is because of the huge time difference where it is 12 hours ahead in Indonesia, and I can only Skype with them either early in the morning or late at night. Whenever they call, I am usually still sleeping or already asleep, and it is the same way around when I called them back. So it is very important that we decide on a time that we can both agree on. However, most of the time, I cannot put aside enough time from my schedule so that ultimately I only talk to them once or twice every week. I do feel really bad declining friends and family calls, and this is what I am looking forward to change as soon as possible. Hopefully, by next semester, I can make at least an hour call to both my family and friends
