INTRODUCTION: The aim of this report, is to illustrate the importance of transferable skills. It is a known fact, that in the evolved and rather demanding society that we live in, now more than ever, skills are of vital importance and special skills, such as the transferable ones, are what make résumés stand out, which in turn is what will lead to the employment of an individual. By the word “skill”, we are referring to an ability, stemming from one 's experience, practice, in other words the ability to use one 's knowledge effectively and readily in execution or performance (Merriam-Webster, 2016). Transferable skills, are skills that can be used in one job or career that can also be used in another (Cambridge Dictionary, 2017). Employers of today are looking for candidates, who possess bright and entrepreneurial attributes, that go beyond simply possessing a degree, but rather skills they have developed on their own, which can be used on a number of different environments. Throughout my life, I have been lucky enough to be given opportunities that led me to have developed certain skills, that have now shaped me in to the person I am today. I will report- in detail- skills that I have developed so far, which might be of use in my future career, as well as mentioning skills that need improving and future ones I should develop, in order to be competent within my chosen field of expertise. Familiarity with the latest programs, applications and trends is needed and it can only be achieved by constant contact with technology. I have excellent IT skills being able to use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and browse through the internet with no hazards, as well as programming on a very simple and basic level.

SWOT ANALYSIS: A SWOT analysis, is an analysis that examines the strengths an individual possesses, weaknesses as in what is lacking skill-wise, opportunities and threats that might occur. Filling this template, I noted both positive and negative attributes of myself, which could interfere in my academic life. To do so, I had to identify my strong suits, as well as my weakest links and ponder on ways I can overcome those and grow.

STRENGHTS: Firstly, I have always been good at academics having graduated from high school with high honors, as I am always eager for new knowledge and willing to work hard to achieve my goals. Additionally, I hold certificates to two foreign languages, while being a fair writer in all three languages. But what I really consider as strengths are my personal attributes such as my honesty, my endless creativity and thirst for knowledge.
