The Shawsheen river state is affected heavily by humans. There is trash located all along the trail going into the river and floating in the water. One of the main reasons for the large amounts of trash at the site is that since it is right next to a busy road, so many people throw their trash out of their car windows and it lands in or around the river. Because the dam causes the river to be slow moving and the bodys of water in the wetlands sit in the same place for long periods of time, trash is built up and causes the aesthetic value of the site to be diminished greatly. Removing the dam would allow the water to speed up and trash to be moved from its build up near Stevens street downstream.

We all continue to live in a world surrounded by varyng forms of art, music, painting, literature, and all these are results of creative human activity in which materials are formed to show an idea or a thought of communication. I believe arts are meant to aid in understanding our past, describe the present and predict the future. “The Weather Project” by Olafur Eliasson managed to create an interesting presentation of the weather. The exposition seems to initiate an impressive tension between the city and nature. The room is encircled in natural elements sun, mist, light and by introducing these natural elements Ellison seems to persuade viewers to entirely appear themselve in the space and the exhibition.
Water was a very interesting character in The Odyssey. Water had the capacity to kill, prevented people from getting somewhere, kept something alive, had what seemed like an endless span, was a method of transportation, the substance of life, and showed up in gas(pg. 50) and liquid form. Water was a dangerous force to be reckoned with in The Odyssey. Water has a part in why Ulysses didn’t get back to Ithaca for twenty years.
Though this may seem as a simple objective, two main limitations stand in the way of achieving it. The first is the limited understanding of the human attachment/inclination towards nature. In spite of the growing body of research (Appleton, 1975; Kellert, 2005a; Heerwagen, 2005; Biederman & Vessel, 2006), still it is not clear why certain natural forms and settings arouse positive feelings in human beings. The second limitation is the difficulty of translating this limited -but growing- knowledge in architectural terms; form, form making principles, form language, structural systems…etc. (Alexander, 2001-2005; Salingaros & Bruce, 1999; Kellert,
