The Montagues and Capulets are two feuding families in Verona who have hated each other for centuries. However, Romeo and Juliet love each other which will produce problems. This person doesn’t have a good personality, you don’t like talking to them, and they don’t bring you joy. Now, simply because you cannot choose who you want to marry, you will be unhappy for the rest of your life as you are stuck with this person who you do not truly love.
They are to blame for the saddening ending to this tragic love story. If the Montague and Capulet families had gotten over their childish rivalry, than neither of them would've had to lose their children. The last sentence of the opening prologue in Romeo and Juliet is "Doth with their death bury their parents' strife. " I think that the parent's had realized that their war was not worth it. However, this means that the only thing holding them back was their parent's strife, so if they had settled it earlier, they could've lived happily.
The Capulets and Montagues were not on good terms with each other. Unfortunately though, Romeo and Juliet fell in love with each other regardless if they are from opposing families. Because of these families bad relationship, Romeo and Juliet were forced to marry in secret instead of publicizing it. These two lovers could have been straight-forward to their parents about their marriage, but they choose not to. The Friar is also guilty to these lovers death, but he only thought that this relationship between Romeo and Juliet be the cure to their families grudge for each other.

In my opinion I think that the feud between the two main families, the Capulets and the Montagues, is the most responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death. The conflict between these two families is so distasteful that it causes Romeo and Juliet even more of a struggle as they try to find and keep their love. This conflict between the Capulets and the Montagues has been going on for a very long time and neither side is willing to make up for whatever may have happened in the past. Because of this a strong dislike is portrayed when someone sees a person from the opposite side. If the family feud wouldn’t have existed Romeo and Juliet would not have any large reason to hide their relationship.
