Rampart, a movie released in 2011, was set in Los Angeles in 1999. Dave Brown was an L.A.P.D veteran police officer working for the Rampart Division. Brown is a corrupt police officer, who is racist, violent, and self-centered. Many suspicious events involving Brown happen and the department gets put into a corruption scandal and everyone is pointing the finger at Brown. The first incident of corruption I noticed in the movie was when Officer Brown physically abused a suspect.

If I was in charge they would not be in such a high power, so we would need to change the behaviors of the current and future police. This could be done by providing extra training and a more in depth education. To really ensure a long term change, we would also have to recruit and hire more law enforcement. I would have each officer in a different specialty to really excel at their job because many people do not believe the police are doing their job or if so they are not doing it well.

In today’s media, it isn’t hard to find a story involving a law enforcement official acting “outside” their boundaries. Law enforcement is ensuring an act of obedience to the law. Police officers often take advantage of enforcing the law and end up using violence when it 's not necessary. According to the Washington post ( 2015 ) every 28 hours an unarmed colored person is killed by a police officer. I think it is time for these and other victims who were treated unjustly by police officers to get justice. These deadly law enforcement incidents must come to an end.
Many people would assume the police are there for our protection, nevertheless, there job is to protect the state. Some police officer that disobey the laws they are supposed to uphold. Some critics would believe that the people who fight back against police officers are the problem instead of the hidden racism. Police brutality has been affecting many people throughout history, which has become a social problem. Nevertheless, many people would state that the police are only doing their job, yet they are not being held accountable for their actions.
Police brutality will be an issue until a solution is created. Many individuals are victims of this form of assault on daily basis. The liberties held by law enforcement are challenged each time they perform their duties. Police officers should abide by the same laws that each citizen is expected to abide by. Although police officers are granted with the right to determine laws as constitutional, civilians are sometimes treated in ways that are beyond unlawful.
The state gives a person a gun and a badge, it instantly gives them a free pass to do as they please and the right to kill whom they deem a threat to public safety. Police officers are the citizens who take the oath to “serve and protect”, but quite ironically they pose a greater threat to society because of the fact that they are everywhere and they just seem to be able to get away with everything they do to a certain extent. Where is that line drawn? Who makes the decision if they crossed the line? Police should not have the mentality that they are immune to the court of law due to the fact mere fact that they are officers of the law.
People like Eric Garner were innocent and shouldn 't have got their life taken. From the other side people say “The Officer would have never did what he did if you did what you were supposed to”, also the officer probably felt offended or threatened that just don 't kill or hurt people because they feel like it .“Power always thinks it has a great soul,” and it cannot be trusted if left unchecked (adams to jefferson). People think the officers do what they have to do to protect themselves, But They do everything for a reason. They wouldn 't just hurt or harm a citizen for no reason

The press is impossible to live and thrive in an area without any government and society.
