Patrick Dewey Mr. McFeron Honors English 9 23 May 2023 The Deaths of Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet's parents are responsible for the deaths of their children in Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. Lack of parental influence can shape kids' lives, which can also lead to their demise. From the start of the play, you could see that Romeo and Juliet’s parents were not actively involved in their lives. The quote, “They were supervised by people who weren’t their parents but were supposed to be like their parents. However parent-like they might have been, these caretakers actually gave teenagers a lot of leeway,” (Shakespeare Alive!) indicates that they were free to explore their relationship without guidance, which led to some impulsive decisions.
