Has anyone ever seen someone so immature and emotional it leads to their death? In 1300s Verona, Italy, there were two feuding families: The Capulets and the Montagues. There was Romeo, the son of Lord and Lady Montague, and Juliet, the daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet. The two children of the feuding families meet at a party and fall in love. That love will end up leading to their death. In Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because he is overly emotional, immature, and irrational. In the play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because he is too overly emotional. Since Romeo is so overly emotional, he often does not think before he acts as he puts his emotions first. In act one, when Romeo first meets Juliet, he says: “O then, dear saint, let lips/ do what hands do” (Act 1 Scene 5 Line 114) This quote shows how overly emotional Romeo is as this is the first time that he is meeting Juliet and he already wants to kiss her.
