The Truman Administration started the Cold War by establishing the Truman Doctrine which was a doctrine that stated the United States will help any country that is threaten by communism, the Soviets. According to the video “The Cold War Crash Course US History #37“, Truman decided to try to establish this doctrine when he felt that Greece and Turkey were being under attack. We send aid and money to these countries trying to stop communism which was a sign to the Soviet that we were declaring war on them. Which then started this nuclear, cold war.
