The “Iron Horse” also known as the “Transcontinental Railroad” has started to take effect on the Sioux Native Americans. Taking a look at the effects, they look more on the unfavorable side. Not only do the Sioux live in an undeterminable world for themselves, they also don’t know what this giant “horse” really is and does. The reason the railroad was built was to connect the Eastern and Western parts of the country. It all started with Abraham Lincoln passing the Pacific Railway Act, just before his death.
