In the speech “Last Lecture” given by Randy Pausch was deep. Now, what is good advice? Good advice that I took from the speech is that having a good attitude through the hard times will get you through every day. So this statement is true because if you feel bad about yourself and you don’t feel like getting out of bed, your day is just going to more horrible than it already was. You need to keep your head held up high. The adversity might stink, but a positive attitude can bring you a long way. Keeping a positive attitude is mentioned in Randy Pausch’s speech. “...hands now if I'm not morose enough for you I'm sorry to disappoint but I don't choose to be an object of pity...”(Pausch). This, in my mind, means that having a positive attitude is a good thing. Because he refers to not being “Morose” and “I don’t choose to be an object of pity”. He keeps the his head held up high. Pancreatic cancer motivates him to be a more fun and willing person before he passes. Pausch wants to have a better life before he dies because he doesn’t want to feel sorry for himself, he doesn’t want to stay in bed all day and mope about dying. “ Next thing you better decide early on if you're a Tigger or an Eeyore. Tigger's are energetic, optimistic, curious, enthusiastic, and they have fun and never ever underestimate the importance of having fun. I am dying soon and I am choosing to have fun today, tomorrow, and every other day I have left” (Paush). This means to me that this is good advice in his mind because he is proud to be a Tigger.
