The 1960’s was a disturbed time for the people of Point Pleasant, as a formidable creature haunted the county. Most everyone believed the Mothman blew up the bridge, then flew away. There were also several pictures of mothman attending the scene, then disappearing. While the majority of people believe Mothman was a sign of bad luck, there were some people who believed Mothman was here to warn people. They believe the creature was sent to warn people about the upcoming disasters or tell if something bad had already happened. There is really no proof to believe that Mothman was there to warn people, and it would seem odd that he would be their at the scene of a bridge blowing up. No one would have known or would bother to just sit on top of the bride that would soon collapse. Mothman was, and is today, considered a haunting creature of the 1960’s. People would always live in fear of him and could never really explain who or what it was. A safe assumption of mothman would be to say he was always there when something bad happened. While there was many theories of the mothman, we can never really be sure of the purpose of
