Margaret Lazarus’ essay All’s Not well in Land of the Lion King details her opinion in the classic Disney movie. She states how she believes the movie is racist, sexist, and anti-gay. While it’s not difficult to see where she’s coming from, most of her points are far-fetched at best. Another major point Lazarus tried to make clear in her essay is that The Lion King is sexist. Her main concern was that the obviously very strong lionesses were not able to fight back against Scar and the hyenas.
While watching the Disney's Lion King you meet the protagonist named Simba. Throughout the film, you see the development and progression of his fears and his overcoming of them as well as his maneuvering and his strategies to do so. "Consider the Lobster," by David Foster Wallace explores the ethics of consuming animals and the disconnection that humans often have with the origins of their food. He analyzes this idea by telling the reader about the Maine Lobster Festival (MLF), an annual event held in Rockland, Maine, that celebrates the state's lobster industry and features a variety of activities and events. Wallace offers up the MLF as a prime example of the unethicality of lobster consumption as lobsters are sentient beings capable of feeling pain. However, if Wallace wants his readers to consider that it is unethical to consume lobsters, why does he include a section in his essay where he explains that lobsters might not feel pain?
Thesis Statement: In Lord of the Flies William Golding throughout the book is trying to show you that society should recognize man is evil. Introduction Paragraph: In the book Lord of the Flies the author William Golding shows a group of boys losing their innocence throughout their life stuck on this inhabited island in the pacific ocean. These boys go from being quiet and shy to violent and dangerous young little boys. Golding uses the pigs, hunting, and the boys face painting to show their lose of innocence throughout the story. There 's no rules of any sort on this island these boys landed on they are free to do whatever they want whenever they want.
I enjoyed reading the essay “Consider the Lobster by David foster Wallace, I also enjoyed the writing style of the author; the way he would insert his own opinions, thoughts and clarification in the text as well as being informative about the whole Lobster situation. Imagine a world with no rules or laws? How would humanity behave if we could do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, because there were no consequences for our actions? In the novel Lord of the Flies, the author, William Golding illustrates if we lived our lives in this way, humanity could easily revert back to savage ways. The book tells the story of a group of British boys who are stranded on an uninhabited island, they attempt to form a stable government. It all falls to pieces when a group of boys start caring more about fun than surviving.
Once in our lives, we must embark on a journey to find ourselves. Though the destination may be the essential goal, the real reward is finding the hero within during the journey. Disney’s The Lion King begins with the birth of a lion cub named Simba. After a tragic accident, which kills his father, Mufasa, Simba is forced to run away from his home and his uncle, Scar, takes over Pride Rock.

They’re found in all cultures and in all literature, ranging from the Greek myths to fairy tales, legends, and stories drawn from all of the world's religions.” (par. 5). In the beginning of the book the boy’s plane crashed into a body of water and the pilot dies but, in the movie the pilot is alive but is severely injured.
